Dr. Maha Hanna arrived in the United States with a dental degree and a vision for what a practice could look like. One built on real relationships, not just appointments. Alongside her late husband, Amgad Hanna a.k.a. Mike, she built something from nothing. Before all else they showed up for each other and their community. Dr. Hanna behind the chair and her husband bringing people through the door one handshake at a time.
Over 35 years later, that vision lives on. Dr. Hanna has spent decades building relationships that run deeper than appointments. When their daughter Dr. Amanda Archie joined the practice, something shifted. A new generation arrived, carrying the same dedication and adding something of her own. Today, Cherry Dental is a practice that honors where it came from while making room for where it's going.

Dr. Maha Hanna
Founder, DDS
Born and raised in Cairo, Egypt, Dr. Hanna earned her dental degree before completing advanced training at UCLA to bring her practice to the United States. She has spent over three decades doing what she loves most, connecting with patients and delivering care that makes a lasting difference.
Her patients don't just trust her. They've followed her for generations — bringing their children, their grandchildren, and the stories of how they first found her all those years ago. Dr. Hanna's warmth is unmistakable, her dedication unwavering, and her commitment to this community something that simply can't be manufactured.
Outside the office, Dr. Hanna loves to shop, spend time with her grandchildren, and stays deeply connected to her Egyptian roots through food, dance, and travel whenever she can.
Dr. Amanda Hanna Archie
Co-founder, DDS
Dr. Archie didn't just choose dentistry. She grew up in this practice, doing her homework in the halls, getting to know patients as a child, and watching her parents build something worth caring about. By the time she enrolled at the University of the Pacific, she already knew exactly where she was headed.
After graduating in 2014 and spending time working with other practices, she returned to where she belonged. Today, Dr. Archie brings a gentle precision and genuine warmth to every appointment and a fresh perspective rooted in the same values this practice was built on. She is there for her patients throughout treatment and beyond. The kind of dentist who checks in a little more than they probably expect.
Outside the office, she is a mom of three who loves to eat, hike, and swim. She has a deep love for travel and shares her mother's passion for all things Egypt— the food, the culture, and any excuse to get back there.
