If you had told me as a child doing homework in these halls that I would one day be practicing dentistry alongside my mother, I would have believed you completely. Dentistry was never something I chose from a distance — it was something I grew up inside of. My mother, Dr. Maha Hanna, built Cherry Dental from the ground up alongside my father, who was the original heartbeat of this community. He showed up, he shook hands, he brought people through the door one genuine connection at a time. Patients still come in and ask about him. That says everything about the kind of practice this has always been.

My mom earned her dental degree in Cairo before completing advanced training at UCLA, and she has spent over 35 years doing what she loves most — building real relationships and delivering care that makes a lasting difference. I followed a different path to the same destination. I graduated from the University of the Pacific in 2014, spent time with other practices, and eventually found my way back to where I belonged. Together we bring over four decades of combined experience to every patient who walks through our doors — and a shared belief that dentistry, done right, is one of the most meaningful things you can offer someone.

A team that has been here almost as long as we have

One of the things I am most proud of at Cherry Dental is our team. Jennifer, Yolanda, Jowel, Christy, and Jackie are not just colleagues — they are the reason our patients feel so at home from the moment they arrive. Some of them have been with us for years, and the relationships they have built with our patients are just as much a part of what makes this practice what it is as anything my mom or I do chairside.

We have put a lot of thought into making sure the experience of coming to Cherry Dental feels nothing like what most people expect from a dental office. Our space is warm, beautifully remodeled, and designed with your comfort in mind from the moment you walk in. There are TVs at every chair with Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+ — because we believe that if we can make your appointment genuinely enjoyable, we have done our job well. New patient forms are handled digitally so you are not filling out paperwork the moment you arrive. And for patients who need to be seen quickly, same-day appointments are available. We want every detail of your visit to feel considered — because it is.

Between my mom and me, there is very little we cannot take care of under one roof. We offer a full range of preventative, restorative, and cosmetic services — from routine cleanings and periodontal care to root canals, extractions, dental implants, and full smile makeovers. Cosmetic dentistry is something I am particularly passionate about. Veneers, bonding, whitening, Lumineers — there is something deeply rewarding about the confidence a patient carries when they leave after a cosmetic procedure. My mom has a particular love for extractions and restorative work, and her patients have been trusting her steady hands for decades.

We also see a lot of patients across both our Torrance and Long Beach locations, and almost all of them move comfortably between the two. Whatever you need — whether it is a first cleaning or a complete restoration — we have the experience, the team, and the genuine care to take you there. We accept HMO, PPO, and Medicare plans, and offer flexible financing through CareCredit, Lending Club, and Cherry for treatments not fully covered by insurance. And for new patients, we offer a comprehensive cleaning, exam, and X-rays for just $150 — because we believe the best way to earn your trust is to show you what we are about from day one.
